How we shop for you

How a small greengrocer keeps it fresh and local.

Got a question? Ask at the till or drop us an email.
How do you choose what to stock?

Whatever's in season and tastes best that week. The chalkboards tell you which grower each item came from.

How do you keep veg fresh without plastic?

Loose on wooden crates, salads and greens misted through the day, and paper bags at the till.

When do veg boxes arrive?

Thursdays. Collect from the shop from 10am, or we'll deliver locally that afternoon.

What happens to food you don't sell?

Some goes into the deli's soups and chutneys. The rest goes to a community fridge round the corner.
